How do I book a scooter?

Choose your scooter, date, time and rental duration. Then complete your booking and payment on our secure online platform. booking platform.

Which documents are required?

To rent an electric scooter, you must present an official photo ID, such as a Brazilian ID, driver's license or passport. Our team will verify your information and explain any additional requirements before pickup.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes. A BRL 280 security deposit is required per scooter. At pickup, we place a temporary card authorization separately through Stripe; it is not charged immediately. After the scooter is returned and inspected with no damage or outstanding issues, we cancel the authorization. Your bank determines when the funds become available again.

Where can I pick up my scooter?

Pickup is free in Copacabana, near Posto 6 in Rio de Janeiro. After your booking is confirmed, our team will send you pickup instructions.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes! We offer scooter delivery in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, including Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon and Arpoador. Delivery costs BRL 30, subject to availability and confirmation. Alternatively, pickup in Copacabana is free.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Cancellations follow Rio E-Bike's Cancellation Policy. Please review the rental terms before completing your booking.
